IHFA Individual Membership is designed for professionals and students who want to connect with an international health, fitness and sports professional network and access relevant professional development opportunities.

It is designed for fitness centres, healthcare organisations, sports organisations, clinics, wellness centres, academies and other industry service providers that want to become part of the IHFA professional network.

An IHFA CPD Provider is an eligible education or training organisation that provides professional development programmes for the healthcare, fitness, sports or wellness sector and is approved/recognised by IHFA under its applicable CPD provider requirements.

Yes. A suitable fitness academy, sports academy, healthcare institute or training organisation may apply to become an IHFA CPD Provider, subject to the applicable IHFA assessment process.

Yes. Universities, colleges and other higher-education organisations may apply where their programmes and activities meet the relevant IHFA requirements.

It is an IHFA process through which eligible professional development programmes can be reviewed against applicable IHFA criteria. Approved programmes may be presented as IHFA-recognised/accredited CPD activities, subject to the specific approval granted.

No. Membership or affiliation does not automatically mean that every course or programme is accredited. Programmes may be subject to separate review, documentation and approval requirements.

Benefits vary according to the membership category.

Yes. An organisation or centre can participate in the IHFA network through the applicable Organisation / Centre Membership or affiliation without necessarily becoming a CPD Provider.

Yes, where eligible. An organisation may participate as an IHFA Organisation/Centre while also applying separately for IHFA CPD Provider status if it provides qualifying education or professional development programmes.

No. IHFA's network is intended to cover the broader healthcare, fitness, sports and wellness ecosystem.

Yes. Sports academies, sports centres, coaching organisations, sports associations and other eligible sports-sector organisations may participate in the IHFA network.

IHFA acts as a platform connecting the professional community, service providers and education providers.

Yes. Eligible healthcare, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, wellness and related organisations may apply for relevant IHFA membership, affiliation or CPD opportunities.

IHFA may organise or participate in conferences, educational events, professional meetings and knowledge-exchange activities designed to connect industry professionals and organisations.

Select the appropriate membership category and complete the IHFA application process. Membership is subject to the applicable eligibility and terms.

Organisations and centres can apply through the relevant Organisation / Centre Membership or affiliation category.

Complete the CPD Provider application and submit the required organisational and programme information for review. Approval is subject to IHFA's applicable criteria and assessment process.

Together, IHFA aims to support continuous professional development and international collaboration across healthcare, fitness, sports and wellness.

IHFA Partners are established and recognised organisations, institutions, associations and industry entities in the health, fitness, sports and wellness sectors that share IHFA's objectives and collaborate with IHFA on professional development, education, networking, events and industry initiatives.

IHFA Ambassadors are respected professionals and industry leaders appointed by IHFA to represent and promote the IHFA mission, professional network and initiatives within their respective country.

Their role can include:

• Representing IHFA
• Promoting IHFA membership and professional development
• Connecting IHFA with local organisations, institutes and professionals
• Supporting national networking and knowledge exchange
• Identifying potential IHFA Partners and CPD Providers
• Supporting IHFA conferences, events and initiatives
• Helping build the IHFA professional community in their country
